Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes arrived separately at the 15th-century Odescalchi Castle in the lakeside town of Bracciano, Italy. Bodyguards use umbrellas to protect U.S. actress Katie Holmes, cradling her daughter Suri, as she arrives with her mother Kathleen. Tom Cruise arrived later by van, and waved to fans.
Hours earlier, guests for the star-studded wedding began arriving at the 15th-century Odescalchi Castle as dozens of police and civil defense officials patrolled Bracciano’s streets.
Hollywood’s Roman Holiday got into full swing Friday with the arrival of Will Smith, John Travolta and other A-list celebs in town to witness Cruise, 44, and Holmes, 27, exchange wedding vows.
Other stars spotted soaking up La Dolce Vita: soccer star David Beckham and wife Victoria, Jada Pinkett Smith, Jennifer Lopez and husband Marc Anthony, Jim Carrey, Brooke Shields and filmmaker J.J. Abrams.
Security was tight, with Carbinieri paramilitary police patrolling the walls of the castle and all vehicles banned from the center of Bracciano.

She totally looks like she’s in a hooror movie in the shot where she is peering out the window. It just screams “help me! please!” nuff said.
