Does he skip his Pop-Warner games, too? Selfish!  Tom Cruise‘s adopted son Connor makes his film debut in Will Smith‘s new flick, Seven Pounds, which premiered on Tuesday night in Los Angeles. And dad skipped to promote HIS film. Someone needs to be re-audited because that’s not right.

“As you know, Tom and Will are great friends,” his rep said. “Tom is in New York on a publicity tour for his movie.”

Here’s Tom arriving at Regis and Kelly in NYC. But how does his son feel?

“It comes as such a surprise,” says a  source. “When Connor was
filming (Seven Pounds) Tom was so excited and proud of him. It’s sad
Tom didn’t fly out for the evening. He could have missed one night of
publicity to support Connor and Will.”

Agreed! Oh, and as for Connor’s two moms, Katie Holmes and Nicole Kidman? Both were absent. This is like one of those sad little kids in Little League whose parents are too busy, drunk, self-obsessed (check!), and crazy (check!) to go to his games.

The next time Tom wants Connor at one of his photo opportunities, the kid needs to give him the side-eye and go back to watching Double Shot At Love with the Ikki Twins.
