In an interview with SheWired, 51-year-old Kelly McGillis expressed her sexual preference for the ladies. When the single actress was asked if she were looking to date a man or a woman, McGillis replied, “definitely a woman.”
Kelly explained that she was “done with the man thing,” and added that she was “done with that, and needs to move on in life, and that’s another part of being true to yourself.” Explaining that she had been struggling to come to terms with her sexuality since she was 12 years old, she claims she finally realized “God is okay with you being gay.”
Three cheers for Kelly! Maybe this will encourage other Top Gun stars (*ahem*) to come out and be true to themselves!
