T.R. Knight Fights Proposition 8

October 9th, 2008 // 4 Comments

On the California ballot, Proposition 8 is hoping to eliminate same-sex
marriage in the state. Rallying to the No on 8 cause, it was revealed
via the California secretary of state’s website, T.R. Knight has donated $50,000 to the organization.

The BFF of Katherine Heigl is in some interesting company with Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz donating $50,000 to the cause and Chelsea Handler giving $5,000.

This is good news (look, you had to know we were biased) given the fact that the funds are coming right after the news that Yes on 8 was leading in the polls.

I don’t understand what the big deal is about preventing gays from getting married. Are
we really so concerned about preserving the “sanctity” of heterosexual marriage?
Because I was pretty sure that Pamela Anderson and The Bachelor franchise had done a pretty thorough job of making it a joke.

What’s interesting is that one man-one woman tradition is based in religious foundation. If we have seperation of church and state there really isn’t a basis to prevent same sex marriage. It’s ridiculous.

I think God weeps at all the bullshit perpetrated in “his” name.

Yeah, it’s a big deal. Procreation not recreation. They should donate their money for same sex animal marriages. When a man wants to have sex with a dog and have it legalized you b*%&%%&%& better donate to the cause.

I donated to No on 8 :) I’m not a celebrity like Brangelina or T.R. and I don’t have a lot of money, but every little bit helps.
