‘Up In The Air’ Leads Golden Globes Nominations

Today is a good day for Up in the Air. The film leads this year’s Golden Globes with six nominations, followed by Nine with five and Avatar and Inglourious Basterds with four each.

George Clooney was nominated for best actor in a drama for Up in the Air, Anna Kendrick is up for best supporting actress against co-star Vera Farmiga, the film is nominated for best drama and Jason Reitman is up for best director.

Nominations for best actress in a drama went to Sandra Bullock for football film The Blind Side, veteran Helen Mirren for The Last Station, Emily Blunt in The Young Victoria, Carey Mulligan with An Education and newcomer Gabourey Sidibe in Precious: Based on the Novel Push By Sapphire.

On the TV front, Glee garnered four nominations, and 30 Rock, Damages, Dexter and Big Love, with three apiece.
