At 48-years-old Valerie Bertinelli looks the best she’s looked in a long time after becoming a devotee and spokeswoman for the Jenny Craig weight loss program. And showing off her new, trim self, Valerie posed for the cover of People magazine.
Since her impressive weight-loss, Bertinelli penned a memoir entitled Losing It–And Gaining My Life Back One Pound At A Time, which landed her a coveted spot on Oprah Winfrey‘s couch.
It was a total of 40 pounds that Bertinelli has shed, after ballooning up after her divorce from rocker Eddie Van Halen. According to Valerie, “I’m just getting more and more comfortable in this body.” Well, this looks like a good start.

She does look great and she’s a real nice lady, but that is a horrible picture.
The hair, the eyebrows, the cheesy pose, the cheap ugly swimsuit…. total blech!

Don’t get me wrong…I really like Valerie. But, I remember her saying in an interview (while on Jenny Craig)that she would never wear a bikini at her age…”Just a little conservative black swimsuit” she was talking about dressing age appropriate. Oh well, I guess she changed her mind and looks great!
