Fast & Furious actor Vin Diesel is a notorious behind-the-scenes diva, according to Page Six. A source dished to the gossip outlet that Diesel played hooky from a promotional engagement in Los Angeles using one of the oldest excuses in the book.
The action star was a no-show at an all-day press junket for his latest Fast & Furious film and was ignoring attempts to reach him. “He didn’t pick up his phone and it wasn’t until a Universal executive called that he finally picked up and used the lame excuse, ‘I’m sick,’ ” the Page Six source revealed.
Four hours late to the event, Diesel looked suspiciously healthy and was subsequently dropped by his PR rep at 42 West after his “sick day.” If I were one of the film’s producers, I’d put his co-star Michelle Rodriguez in charge of keeping his ass in line. I get the distinct impression that that girl doesn’t mess around.
