Kerri Walsh-Jennings and Misty May-Treanor are going for their third straight gold in beach volleyball, but a lot of things have changed since their last Olympic journey. Walsh-Jennings has since had two children, May-Treanor tore her Achilles tendon during a Dancing With The Stars rehearsal, and they even briefly parted ways.
Oh yeah: Walsh-Jennings currently suffering some serious pinkeye.
Well, she says it’s “super minor” and that it “looks worse than it is,” but the fact still remains that she can’t touch her children, May-Treanor, or just about anyone else without risking spreading the infection. But Walsh-Jennings got the go ahead from her doctor, so she’s going to play through the infection during her August 8th title.
Talk about dedication!
