The first trailer for Friends With Kids, written and directed by Jennifer Westfeldt, has finally hit Yahoo! Movies, and it looks like we’re in for a treat.
The film, starring Westfeldt, Jon Hamm, Adam Scott, Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph, Chris O’Dowd, Megan Fox, and Edward Burns, focuses on a close-knit circle of friends at that moment in life when children arrive and everything changes.
The last two singletons (played by Scott and Westfeldt) in the group observe the effect that kids have had on their friends’ relationships and wonder if there’s a better way. They decide to have a kid together – and date other people.
Friends With Kids opens March 9th. It’ll be refreshing to see Hamm’s character not kick Wiig character out of bed this time: “This is so awkward. I really want you to leave, but I don’t know how to say it without sounding like a d**k.”
