No straight to DVD for Kristen Stewart.
All the pole dancing bruises and the promotion for her film Welcome to the Rileys has paid off as the film lands a distributor for the US. Director Jake Scott admits they were very lucky to have Stewart in the film.
“We shot this in 2008, so Twilight came out when we’d wrapped,” he told reporters in Berlin where the film is currently showing at the Berlin Film Festival. I would have to agree with that one, I imagine half the people going to see this flick are interested in what Bella looks like when she strips. Lucky for them they also happen to know Sean Penn who recommended Stewart based on her Into the Wild performance, a film he directed.
Here are some stills from the film and Stewart promoting the film at Sundance.

They’ve always had an offer on the table for distribution at Sundance but the WTTR producers are being very smart and savvy about when they want the film released. It took lots of negotiations to find a distributor that would go by their timelines and the release of this movie for the Fall is excellent timing for consideration of awards. Congratulations WTTR team and good luck to Kristen. Heard nothing but great reviews for her and this movie. I can’t wait to see it this fall.
Ummm I STRONLGY doubt what Kimmy says!! The producer, Giovanni Agnelli, is a freakin’ amateur!!! If things were so good for this film, he wouldn’t BEG Twilight fans through his twitter account, to show their love for Kristen, so that some destributor would pick the film, cause nothing much happened during Sundance, nobody rushed to pic it up!! And no surprise, cause the film overall, got BAD reviews! Which gets me back to the Twifans&Stewart fans! It was sooooo funny! They picked&pointed out quots from reviews that were OK, cause in every single review, the story was this: fairytail -a.k.a stupid- script, a terrible directorial work&3 actors STRUGLING to swim¬ drown! Melissa actually succeded! &the director is delusional, cause he wants to strike awards season? With this film? Told ya, dude is an amateur!
There were 2 distributors interested which is why it took a while for a deal. Agnelli wanted to show the distributors that there was a fanbase for the movie to increase its marketability and up the bidding. The movie itself has gotten mixed reviews, but the performances have been praised.
all together now can you say Masterful? /Master-mind
