Remember how Levi Johnston knocked up Bristol Palin and then they broke up and he was all about speaking out against the Palins? Seems that song has changed and Sarah is not too please about the reconciliation.

“We got engaged two weeks ago,” Bristol, 19, tells Us Weekly. “It felt right, even though we don’t have the approval of our parents.”

“I really thought we were over,” Levi said. “So when I went, I had no hope. I think we both just started talking — and then we took Tripp for a walk.”

She added, “When he left that night, we didn’t hug or kiss, but I was thinking how different it was. He texted me: ‘I miss you. I love you. I want to be with you again’ … I was in shock.”

If you’ll recall, Levi provoked the wrath of Sarah when he said that she had called her infant son Trig (who has Down syndrome) “retarded.” Then during her appearance on Oprah Winfrey, she dubbed him ‘Ricky Hollywood’ and called his ‘”aspiring porn” career “heartbreaking.”

The Palins released a statement on the Today show Wednesday morning: “Bristol at 19 is now a young adult. We obviously want what’s best for our children. Bristol believes in redemption and forgiveness to a degree most of us struggle to put in practice in our daily lives.”
