I, and maybe the other person watching this season of Project Runway on Lifetime, am very happy with the judges’ final decision on the season final last night. When it was filmed there were still seven designers on the show in TV land so all seven showed at Fashion Week while only three were in it for the competition. Kind of makes all of Heidi Klum‘s mulling over who was really ready to show last episode retrospectively moot. In the tradition of celebrity judges Faith Hill took a place in the front row.
Following Tim Gunn‘s advice to bring something unexpected while keeping his signature handiwork to Bryant Park paid off for this year’s winner Seth Aaron Henderson. Sorry, but never really thought you had a shot Mila Hermanovski and Emilio Sosa, who shut down everything Tim said on the home visit, was shocked to loose the prize. Always listen to Tim. Of course everyone had a win in getting to show at Fashion week and Emilio called it “a stepping stone to bigger and better things” and Mila looked ahead as well saying “it made me realize I’m really meant to be a fashion designer.”
Of course the real winner winner chicken diner was Seth Aaron who did it for the kiddies. “I can’ t believe I just won Project Runway,” he said. “I’m showing my kids that hard work and love for what you do pays off, and I see it in their eyes, they’re proud of their father…And I think that’s what this is all about for me.”

OK so I was the other person watching PR last night, and I didn’t understand why Emilio didn’t listen to Tim, Seth did and he won. Mila didn’t have a chance of winning, Seth was too strong with his designs but Emilio, dude what happs? Loved his designs all season, but his coll oops or line just fell short.
No more of that dumb look on Michael Kors face when Heidi says have we made our decision, and he nods like some sort of waiter at Applebees.
Wait, Seth made 24 outfits?? when he only needed 10, over achieving does pay off
I’m so happy Seth won. He was my favorite all season and I just loved his attitude. His runway show was my favorite since Siriano’s. It was one knockout, show-stopping piece after another.
I don’t know what happened with Emilio. He had a chip on his shoulder that ultimately did him in. I didn’t like the way he brushed of Tim’s help either. Very arrogant. It’s a shame because he had some gorgeous designs during the season. His runway was rather boring though and just disappointing.
I’m happy that Mila got to show. I didn’t like her runway show though. All the black and white started to blend together and I just lost interest. Honestly I can’t think of one piece that i loved. Emilio’s gown stood out for me and then just about all of Seth’s pieces were memorable.
Excellent, excellent season with some fantastic designers and fun personalities. Can’t wait for the next season!!!
Sorry, but Emilio was robbed!!! Seth was nice, and chic but not wearable!! Emilio was chic, nice and wearable!! Winner or not he’s ready for the big time and I bet celebs will be wearing his designs far sooner then they will be wearing Seths and thats if they ever wear his stuff?!
