In the Billboard that is….
Janet Jackson didn’t do so hot on the charts as Ludacris tops the Billboards with a “Release Therapy.” Miss Janet took the number 2 slot with “20 Y.O.” brought to you by Virgin. The album sold 296,000 copies which almost took the title of lowest record numbers from “The Velvet Rope” which only found itself selling 202,000 copies.
Her previous album like “Damita Jo” found its way to 381,000 homes. The trump card of all her vocal endeavors was her “All For You” album setting the pace at 605,000 copies sold.
Other contenders like Justin Timberlake and John Mayer fell in the ranks. Clay Aiken also felt the downward spiral as his album dropped six slots. So Janet won’t have to lick her wounds all by herself.
