Seriously, check out the linebacker with the camera. Rrrraaaooooww. Oh, and there’s Chris Daughtry, who recently played a carnival or something in Seattle. Daughtry is the most successful American Idol contestant after Kelly, Clay and that crazy bitch who vandalizes trucks. Oh America, what’s wrong, sweetie? What are you doing? This? Really?
Amid the smell of hay and fried fair food, Daughtry stepped off the television screen and rocked Puyallup with those goose-bumpy ballads that have made him “American Idol’s” most famous fourth-place contestant. Wearing a snug T-shirt, ripped jeans and a thick leather band on one wrist, and hanging on the microphone, he fronted a four-piece rock band that shares his last name.
My chickens are done. I could cut glass with my nipples, I’m so turned on. This is terrible, terrible music. What is it with the Nickelback revolution, in which they disguise soft rock with louder guitar and excessive jewelry? Gross.

Funny story about Chris Daughtry, he’s from my hometown and before he was on AI he worked at a fairly large used car dealership.
He seemed nice enough and we test drove a few cars. He did get pushy at a few points, but he was genuine. I’m not a fan of his style of music but you gotta love America: Where else can you can go from being a used car salesman to a rock star in less than 2 years?

Don’t forget Carrie Underwood. Sorry, but I think she’s THE most successful AI performer…

to put it out there, daughtry plays catchy music. thats what gives artists any shot of making it these days. its good. the lyrics are meaningful. stop being such an “underground” obsessive.. who only likes music that hasn’t made it to the radio, because it makes you feel some shape or form of “unique”, and realize that if you were that famous in a mainstream band, you wouldnt be complaining.
