Far be it from me to listen to marriage advice from a pop star–especially one whose recent past seems to include a fetish for crotchless clothing–but these days, Christina Aguilera seems to be a lot more level-headed than I used to give her credit for in the past. Her take on her first year of marriage is recanted by The Sun:

Whereas most celebs will always tell you that everything is rosy in their gardens, Xtina has admitted that her marriage isn’t perfect. She wed executive Jordan Bratman last November and admitted: “I think it is hard…You are surprised and disappointed by certain things in your first year…I think the biggest misconception is that everything is going to be perfect and nothing will go wrong.” However, the Dirrty singer insists she won’t be following in the footsteps of rival pop princess Britney Spears and filing for divorce. She added: “We have a strong bond. I’m prepared to grow old with this man. We look forward to the ups and downs.”

I agree with everything except the “growing old”‘ part. Girl, that’s what plastic surgery’s for. I want to go out like those “Death Becomes Her” bitches.
