Are we officially dating? If Zac Efron ever asked me that, the answer would be yes. Yes, yes and yes! Too bad that’s not the case — it’s just the name of his new movie.
Efron has really grown up since his High School Musical days. The days of singing and dancing around are long gone. Who’s complaining, though? He’s been moving towards more mature roles like his upcoming role in Are We Officially Dating? and The Paperboy.
He doesn’t stop there.
Deadline New York reported that the hunk is getting ready to team up with Marcia Gay Harden, Paul Giamatti, Billy Bob Thorton and Jacki Weaver in Parkland, a film based on Bugliosi’s Reclaiming History: The Assassination Of President John F. Kennedy.
If that doesn’t scream out mature, I don’t know what does.
Deadline claimed that “the film does not address the conspiracy aspect and focuses only on what happened at Parkland Hospital in Dallas on the day Kennedy was assassinated on November 22, 1963.” It will be interesting to see how Efron’s years of experience will culminate into his present stage of his career.
I think that no matter what role he plays, his good looks and charm will see him through (wink wink). Launch the gallery to see the man on set of his new movie, Are We Officially Dating?
