Although he might not have been laugh-out-loud funny, Zac Efron certainly was a good sport on his recent visit to Saturday Night Live.
If there wasn’t much audience laughter ringing out as hoped, it wasn’t for lack of trying with castmember Jason Sudeikis going so far as to attempt to suck on one of Zac’s toes. And no, I’m not going to explain the context. You’ll just have to watch it for yourself.
Of course, there was the obligatory sketch lampooning Efron’s High School Musical persona of Troy Bolton, reminding Zac that although he claims to be ready to leave his Disney life behind, maybe he’d better not do so just yet.

I loved Zac and thought he did an amazing job.

I thought that Zac was wonderful as the host. All of the sketches weren’t that funny, but Zac was good in everything that he did. He showed how versatile he is, that’s for sure. The funniest was the foot rub sketch. Who wouldn’t want to suck on Zac’s….uh….foot? LOL

Zac was the ultimate professional — great energy, impeccable comic timing of overall mediocre writing (typical of SNL for years). The best written skit by far was the HSM parody which Efron knocked out of the park. And did you notice he barely looked at the cue cards (unlike the regulars who do it so obviously)? He saved the Gilly sketch with his spot-on German exchange student and his Cody surpassed Wiig’s Kathie Lee (who was too over the top and ultimately not funny). And I’m not a tween…I’m a heterosexual “twifty.” :-)
I predict he will have a long, varied career right up there with Leonardo Di Caprio and Johnny Depp.

I thought that Zac did the most with what he was given. Unfortunatly the writing was less than stellar and it will be a reflection of him which is unfair. I love him and think he’s a wholesome, sweet and down to earth guy that our kids can look up to so I give him props.
