The role of Janis Joplin in the upcoming biopic, “The Gospel According to Janis,” has been given to actress Zooey Deschanel. Previously a strong contender for the role was pop star, Pink, who is no longer in the running. I’m wondering how exactly it was decided who would get to play Janis. All I know is, it sure as hell wasn’t an arm-wrestling contest.
