The Little Monsters are up to no good!
Venom and A Star is Born both debut in movie theaters this coming Friday, October 5, 2018. Allegedly, Lady Gaga’s online army of fans are coordinating en masse to discredit Venom by flooding the internet with negative reviews for the film, often using fake accounts.
BuzzFeed first reported this bizarre happening, and one of these Gaga acolytes told the publication that the attacks on Venom were synchronized in order to drive more people to see A Star Is Born this weekend. “It’s us Gaga fans creating fake IDs to trash the Venom premiere,” the person said.
Eagle-eyed fans have noticed that a lot of the tweets are almost identical, and are suggesting people are “fabricating negative reviews” in support of A Star Is Born.
“Beware of fake #Venom movie reviews. There are people trying to promote Lady Gaga’s #AStarIsBorn and are fabricating negative reviews. Look out for bots and only trust proper and regular reviewers,” Marvel Mania captioned a photo of tweets from what appears to be three separate accounts writing the same comment.
“I am the biggest marvel fan but i just watched #Venom and I don’t know what to say,” the comment in question reads. “Easily the worst movie this year. I expected so much better and now I’m just disappointed.”

Say hello to the Gaga bots!
As of now, it is still looking as if Venom will beat A Star Is Born quite handily at the box office.
