There was good news for both sides as a result of last night's elections. The Republicans kept control of the Senate, and the Democrats took control of Congress for the first time since 2011.
Voters turned out in record numbers to render a verdict on Trump after two years in which he has monopolized the media, polarized the electorate and dominated American political life like no president since Franklin Roosevelt — or arguably ever.
The one thing that was prevalent in the elections was that diversity won big!
So we hope that you voted (just like these celebrities did) and made a mark in last night's historical election.
The House is getting its first two Muslim women and Massachusetts is getting its first black congresswoman following Tuesday's midterm elections, among other historic firsts.
In what some are referring to as the “pink wave,” the high-profile midterm cycle produced a record number of women contenders. So well done to all of the groundbreakers!
