In surprise casting news, former Superman, Henry Cavill, is your new Sherlock Holmes. He is set to portray Arthur Conan Doyleâs legendary detective for Enola Holmes.
Millie Bobby Brown will star in the film, which features a script by Jack Thorne adapting Nancy Springerâs book series.

Launching in 2006 with The Case Of The Missing Marquess, Springerâs tomes tell the tale of Sherlock and Mycroft Holmesâ much younger sister, Enola, who turns out to be a highly capable detective in her own right.
Helena Bonham Carterâs aboard to play Enolaâs mother, while Fleabag and Killing Eve veteran Harry Bradbeer will direct the film.

The plot for the film is said to involve a missing teen whose father has been murdered.
Cavill will next be seen in Netflixâs The Witcher, based on the best-selling fantasy book series.
Beyond that, he doesnât have any other big screen projects currently in the works.
