Model Ben Crofchick will soon be heating up the TV screen as one the first regular male Banker’s Assistants on the new reality series Deal or No Deal Island, premiering Monday, February 26 at 9:30/8:30c on NBC.
You may have seen Ben modeling for Kim Kardashian’s SKIMS fashion line or getting fed spaghetti by Christina Aguilera in a racy spread for Galore magazine – but with his latest role, you’re sure to remember him. We got to know more about this fresh face as he answered the Socialite Seven. Who would he want to play him in his biopic? Read on and find out!
Who has had the biggest influence on you in your life and why?
If I steer away from the family aspect of it, I love my family, but I would say truly that the person who changed my life would be my agent, Ricardo Barrera. He found me, so I wouldn't be in LA, I wouldn't have booked the jobs and, and kind of got this whole spotlight and career if it wasn't for him. He's done so much in just teaching how to become the model that I am, so I owe a lot to him.
What is your biggest pet peeve?
My biggest pet peeve, a small one would be when I'm driving and there's stuff rolling around in the backseat. That's like the most tiny little thing, but it drives me crazy. Other than that, just bad communication. You know, I'm texting or talking. I think there's so much missed between texts that I just can't stand that. I'm a phone call guy. Just call me.
What fashion trend would you like to see go away for good?
Skinny jeans. Never bring them back. Leave them, please. Yeah, I can't stand skinny jeans.
Who would you want to play you if they made a movie of your life?
Ooh…I would say Mr. and Mrs. Smith era Brad Pitt. Or Troy. I love Brad Pitt.
If you could wake up in the morning with a superpower or a talent that you don't already have, what would you want it to be? It'd either be flying or dancing like Michael Jackson. Either have this crazy rhythm to me where I can break out dancing at any time or fly.
What are three things you can't live without?
A phone call from my mother, Chap Stick, and a gym membership.
What is the best piece of advice you've been given?
I just stay true to myself. I think when you come to a city like Los Angeles, it's easy to want to become whatever people want you to become. And you kind of get starstruck and you see the lights and you see the people and you can kind of lose yourself. But I think I've always been told to just stay me throughout whatever I book. You know whether it be Deal or No Deal or a TV show, a movie, anything. Just to stay true to myself know where I come from and I'm a very humble individual. I think I'll always stay that way.
