Aladdin

The initial response to Disney’s live-action Aladdin remake has been primarily dominated by fans roasting Will Smith‘s bluer-than-blue Genie.

This new trailer should change a few people’s perception about the movie.

Along with a lot more of Will Smith’s controversial Genie, the two-minute-long look at the anticipated film gives us more of Aladdin (Mena Massoud), Jasmine (Naomi Scott), Jafar (Marwan Kenzari), Abu and Magic Carpet.

Of course, this is a Disney musical, as the new trailer makes clear by debuting its version of the classic song “A Whole New World,” sung by Aladdin and Jasmine as they take their iconic flying carpet ride through the city of Agrabah.

And sadly, Mena Massoud is still wearing a shirt.

But Molly might be too little too late, as the formidable Katherine also faces the reality of low ratings and a network that wants to replace her. Molly, wanting to prove she’s not simply a diversity hire who’s disrupting the comfort of the brotherhood, is determined to help Katherine by revitalizing her show and career—and possibly effect even bigger change at the same time.

Amazing Grace

The film, which chronicles Franklin’s 1972 performance at a church in South Central Los Angeles, has been buried for decades but was finally shown to audiences in late 2018.

Frozen 2

The trailer is strangely tense, showing that Frozen II may not be a movie that’s quite for the faint of heart. It opens with Elsa alone on a black sand beach trying to fight the waves. She’s meeting with limited success. Why she’s fighting the current is not explained here, but the music and the look on her face make it clear that this is serious business.

Teen Spirit

Violet (Elle Fanning) is a shy teenager who dreams of escaping her small town and pursuing her passion to sing. Driven by a pop-fueled soundtrack, Teen Spirit is a visceral and stylish spin on the Cinderella story.
