The initial response to Disney's live-action Aladdin remake has been primarily dominated by fans roasting Will Smith‘s bluer-than-blue Genie.
This new trailer should change a few people's perception about the movie.
Along with a lot more of Will Smith's controversial Genie, the two-minute-long look at the anticipated film gives us more of Aladdin (Mena Massoud), Jasmine (Naomi Scott), Jafar (Marwan Kenzari), Abu and Magic Carpet.
Of course, this is a Disney musical, as the new trailer makes clear by debuting its version of the classic song “A Whole New World,” sung by Aladdin and Jasmine as they take their iconic flying carpet ride through the city of Agrabah.
And sadly, Mena Massoud is still wearing a shirt.
Aladdin hits theaters on May 24.
