Brad Pitt accelerates into the spotlight in the first F1 teaser trailer.

The Fight Club actor takes command in the driver’s seat for this upcoming Apple film, chronicling the journey of a former racing champion (Pitt) as he endeavors to orchestrate a professional resurgence within the fictional Formula 1 team APXGP.

Joining Pitt on this serpentine ascent to glory is Damson Idris, portraying his teammate, alongside a stellar ensemble including Javier Bardem, Kerry Condon, Tobias Menzies, Sarah Niles, Kim Bodnia, and Samson Kayo.

“We need to build our car for combat,” Pitt’s character asserts early in the teaser.

“How am I supposed to make that safe?” Condon’s character inquires skeptically.

To which Pitt’s character retorts, “Who said anything about safe?”

This cinematic venture, helmed by director Joseph Kosinski, was authentically captured during genuine Grand Prix weekends, featuring the sport’s actual luminaries. Pitt and Idris were previously photographed alongside drivers Max Verstappen and Carlos Sainz while filming at the British Grand Prix last July.

During that period, Pitt divulged to Sky News that his character was a racer in the 1990s who experienced a “horrible crash” and subsequently “craps out and disappears.” He further revealed that Bardem portrays the proprietor of a team languishing in last place.

“They’re 21-22 on the grid — they’ve never scored a point,” he elaborated, “but they have a young phenom, played by Damson Idris, and they bring me in as kind of a Hail Mary and high jinks ensue.”

F1 represents a collaborative effort with the Formula 1 community, boasting an impressive roster of producers, including Pitt, Jerry Bruckheimer, Chad Oman, and F1 legend Lewis Hamilton.

The film is slated to race into theaters on June 27, 2025. Watch the trailer above.
