Brad Pitt, 61, and Angelina Jolie, 49, have concluded their divorce proceedings, according to People magazine. The development arrives eight years following the Maria actress’s divorce filing in 2016 after their two-year marriage. People reports that the Hollywood stars officially signed divorce papers on Dec. 30.
James Simon, Jolie’s attorney, told the magazine in a statement, “More than eight years ago, Angelina filed for divorce from Mr. Pitt. She and the children left all of the properties they had shared with Mr. Pitt, and since that time she has focused on finding peace and healing for their family. This is just one part of a long ongoing process that started eight years ago. Frankly, Angelina is exhausted, but she is relieved this one part is over.”

People further reveals that “both parties have requested a jury trial lasting 10 to 15 days and have agreed to participate in a settlement conference or mediation session as a form of alternative dispute resolution.” When contacted, Pitt’s representative declined to comment on the report.
The former couple shares six children: Maddox, 23, Pax, 21, Zahara, 19, Shiloh, 18, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 16. The court declared Brad and Angelina legally single in 2019, and Pitt has been romantically linked to Ines de Ramon since 2022.
The pair has also been engaged in legal disputes regarding Château Miraval, their previously co-owned French winery.
