Britney Spearsโ€˜ phone and internet use were monitored by her father, a new documentary has claimed.

The โ€˜Toxicโ€™ singer โ€“ who has been outspoken about wanting Jamie Spears to lose his position as conservator of her affairs โ€“ reportedly โ€œworriedโ€ her team when she requested a new iPhone and her security staff were asked to put โ€œparental controlโ€ on the device so other people could gain access to her texts, calls, and browser history.

Speaking in new documentary โ€˜Controlling Britney Spearsโ€™ โ€“ which was released on Friday (24.09.21), Alex Vlasov, who worked for Black Box Security from 2012 to 2021, said: โ€œBritney wanted to get an iPhone โ€ฆ and that was a big deal. Everybody was worried.

โ€œ[My boss] Edan [Yemini] approached me and asked me, โ€˜Is there any monitoring services for an iPhone that you are aware of?โ€™ And Iโ€™m like, โ€˜What do you mean?โ€™ And heโ€™s like, โ€˜Well, parental controls. Is there any way you can put parental controls on an iPhone?โ€™

โ€œAnd thatโ€™s when Edan explained to me that Britneyโ€™s communication is monitored for her own security and protection.โ€

Alex questioned โ€œthe legalityโ€ of the request, and was told the court were โ€œawareโ€ of the monitoring of her communications, which eventually led to Britneyโ€™s phone being cloned onto an iPad, which was kept in a safe.

He continued: โ€œ[Edan] said, โ€˜Yes, the court is aware of this. Britneyโ€™s lawyer is aware of this. This is for her safety. Itโ€™s for her protectionโ€™.

โ€œAnd then Robin [Greenhill of Britneyโ€™s management team at Tri Star Sports & Entertainment Group] came up with the idea of, โ€˜Why donโ€™t we just take an iPad, sign in with an iCloud on there, the same iCloud that Britney would use on her phone, and that would mirror all activity?โ€™ You would be able to see all messages, all FaceTime calls, notes, browser history, photographs.

โ€œTheir reason for monitoring was looking for bad influence, looking for potential illegal activity that might happen, but they would also monitor conversations with her friends, with her mom, with her lawyer Sam Ingham. If thereโ€™s anybody that should be off limits, it should be Britneyโ€™s lawyer.โ€

Tri Star Sports & Entertainment group branded the allegations โ€œfalseโ€, but Jamieโ€™s lawyer, Vivian Lee Thoreen, insisted his actions โ€œwere done with the knowledge and consent of Britney, her court-appointed attorney and/or the court.โ€

And Edanโ€™s lawyer said: โ€œBlack Box have always conducted themselves within professional, ethical and legal bounds, and they are particularly proud of their work in keeping Ms. Spears safe for many years.โ€

The 39-year-old singerโ€™s new attorney, Mathew Rosengart, has vowed to โ€œfully and aggressively investigate these matters.โ€

He added: โ€œIntercepting or monitoring Britneyโ€™s communications, especially sacrosanct attorney-client communications, represents a shameful and shocking violation of her privacy rights and civil liberties.โ€
