Well, that did not take long. Less than one week after Britney Spears announced that she was taking a break from Instagram, she has returned to the social media platform.
The 39-year-old singer captioned two selfies of herself on Monday, “Some shots from my weekend getaway to celebrate my engagement with my … holy s–t … FIANCÉ … I still can’t believe it !!!!”
She added, “I couldn’t stay away from the gram too long so I’m back already 💍😂🤷🏼♀️🤣 !!!!”
Spears and her longtime boyfriend, Sam Asghari, got engaged on Sept. 12 after five years of dating amid her 13-year conservatorship.
The Daily Mail posted photos of Spears and Asghari, 27, on Friday (Sep. 17, 2021) going for a drive together in her Mercedes-Benz in the City of Angels.
The outlet also released a separate set of photos taken of Asghari on Saturday (Sep. 18, 2021) leaving Bas Rutten’s Elite MMA Gym in Westlake Village, a two-and-half-hour-plus drive from where Spears claimed in her caption that she and her new fiancé spent their weekend.
