Caitlyn Jenner is standing firm about her choice to remain in Israel during the escalating conflict with Iran.

The former Olympian and reality TV star defended her stay in the country in a conversation with TMZ published Monday, sharing details about her experience in bomb shelters while expressing support for Israel and its allies. She managed to escape the country on Sunday (June 15, 2025).

“I was proud to be in Israel, the past few days, including when the bombings started,” she said in a statement. “I sheltered in place alongside Israelis and foreigners; this included Christians, Jews, and Muslims.”

“The unity and strength of the diverse spirit of all faiths and nationalities sheltering together as one people was a ceiling I can hardly explain without getting emotional,” Jenner added. “The best version of humanity was on display in the bunkers.”

Speaking positively about those behind the military action, she continued, “The spirit and strength of the Israeli people, and allies of Israel, specifically leaders like Donald Trump, have achieved a long overdue mission: the destruction and dismantling of the terrorist Iranian regime.”

Jenner also spoke out against Iran’s leadership as extremists, telling TMZ, “The Iranian people deserve to be liberated from these terrorists, and the world is much safer without their violent terrorist government.”

The rising tensions between the nations kicked into high gear last Friday when Israel launched what it called a preemptive strike on Iran to curb its nuclear program.

Tehran fired back with missiles aimed at Tel Aviv and other major Israeli cities. Since then, both countries have been trading bombs back and forth, raising fears about a potential full-scale war and broader regional conflict.

By day four of the clash, strikes on Israel had claimed 24 lives while at least 224 people in Iran had died from the conflict, according to reports from both governments.
