Chappell Roan is not here for any red carpet rudeness from photographers. She put a paparazzo in his place after he screamed at her.
Roan, making her debut performance at the awards show, walked the red carpet in a medieval-inspired outfit. In footage shared by Entertainment Tonight, a photographer appeared to tell her to “Shut the fuck up” as she turned away from the camera. The “Hot to Go” singer quickly fired back, saying, “You shut the fuck up!” She added, “Don’t! Not me, bitch!” Someone nearby supported her, saying, “Tell ’em, girl!”
When an Entertainment Tonight reporter asked about the incident, Roan explained, “It’s quite overwhelming and quite scary. I think for someone who gets … a lot of … anxiety around people yelling at you … the carpet is horrifying.”
Roan continued, “And I need to — I yelled back. I yelled back! You don’t get to yell at me like that!”
