Male model Christian Hogue has been arrested and charged with felony aggravated assault following an alleged violent confrontation at a Nashville dog park last summer. The 33-year-old, who boasts over 1.3 million Instagram followers (and is a familiar face to Socialite Life readers), now faces serious legal consequences stemming from the August incident.
Davidson County prosecutors report that police responded to Shelby Dog Park in Nashville after receiving a call about a fight between two dog owners. When officers arrived at the scene, they encountered a man who claimed he had been involved in a physical altercation with Christian Hogue.
Conflicting Accounts of the Incident
According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, prosecutors allege that the confrontation began when the dogs belonging to both men became aggressive toward each other. The situation quickly escalated from a canine dispute into a physical fight between the owners.
Prosecutors claim Hogue “grabbed the man from behind, threw him to the ground and placed him in a headlock” during the altercation. The alleged victim attempted to intervene when the dogs started fighting, which apparently triggered the physical confrontation.
However, Christian Hogue provided a different version of events to law enforcement. He told officers he saw the man “punch his dog with a closed fist multiple times.” Meanwhile, the other man strongly denied these accusations, stating he never struck Hogue’s dog and was simply trying to separate the animals by grabbing the dog’s collar.
Evidence and Witness Statements
The responding officers documented injuries on both individuals involved in the dog park fight. According to prosecutors, police “observed multiple cuts on Christian and the other man.” These visible injuries corroborated that a physical altercation had indeed taken place.
Additionally, other people present at the dog park during the incident provided statements to authorities. These witnesses reportedly told police they saw Christian “place the guy in a headlock” during the confrontation.
Serious Charges Filed
The alleged victim told investigators that Hogue restricted his breathing during the headlock and expressed his desire to press charges. As a result, an arrest warrant was issued for the model.
Christian Hogue was subsequently taken into custody and charged with aggravated assault by strangulation, which is classified as a felony offense in Tennessee. This charge carries potentially severe penalties if he is convicted.
According to court records, Hogue is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday, January 14, 2026. The case remains open as it moves through the legal system.
Representatives for Christian Hogue have not yet responded to requests for comment regarding the arrest and pending charges.
