Cristiano Ronaldo is trading the pitch for the small screen.
The soccer icon, 41, is reportedly gearing up to make his scripted television debut as both an actor and executive producer on a new football drama titled Day 1s, according to Deadline.
The series is being developed by UR•Marv Studios, the production company Ronaldo co-founded with British filmmaker Matthew Vaughn, the director behind the Kingsman franchise.
Day 1s centers on a fictional London football agent named Stanley Dalton, played by Homeland and Billions alum Damian Lewis, as he navigates the cutthroat business of player transfers, contract negotiations and club politics.
Ronaldo’s former Arsenal rival Thierry Henry is also expected to appear, alongside musician Dave.
The show is reportedly based on an original idea from soccer agent Darren Dein.
Vaughn, who launched UR•Marv with Ronaldo earlier this year, previously gushed about teaming up with the five-time Ballon d’Or winner.
“Cristiano has created stories on the pitch that I could never have written,” Vaughn said.
For Ronaldo, the project marks his first acting credit outside of commercial advertising and video game appearances.
“This is an exciting chapter for me, as I look ahead to new ventures,” Ronaldo reportedly said of the move.
The drama comes as the Al-Nassr captain continues expanding his business empire beyond football, following Portugal’s exit from the 2026 World Cup at the round-of-16 stage against eventual champion Spain.
Despite his growing off-field ambitions, Ronaldo remains under contract with the Saudi Pro League club through next summer.
A source close to the production teased that Day 1s will blend drama with lighter moments, drawing comparisons to HBO’s Ballers.
“But this isn’t a sitcom,” the insider said.
Day 1s marks the first television release from UR•Marv Studios, which has already completed two sports films since its launch.
Filming is currently underway in London, with the project independently financed through the Ronaldo-Vaughn venture.
Multiple streaming platforms are reportedly circling the series, though no distribution deal has been announced.
A release date and additional casting news are expected in the coming months.
