Dasha Nekrasova, best known for her role as Comfrey Pellits in HBO’s acclaimed series Succession, has been fired by her talent agency Gersh and removed from an upcoming film project following backlash over a controversial podcast interview with far-right commentator Nick Fuentes.

The actress was dropped by Gersh and had her contract pulled for the thriller Iconoclast before it was signed, Deadline confirmed with a spokesperson for the agency. The film, marking the directorial debut of The Night Agent star Gabriel Basso, is currently in production in London.

The controversy stems from a 2.5-hour interview Nekrasova conducted with Fuentes on her podcast Red Scare, which she co-hosts with Anna Khachiyan. While the episode was uploaded to YouTube on October 10, it began circulating widely within Hollywood circles only recently, triggering an immediate industry response.

Fuentes is widely recognized as the leader of the “Groyper” movement and has been described by media outlets as a white nationalist who espouses antisemitic, misogynistic, and anti-LBGTQ views. The interview touched on multiple controversial topics, with the trio discussing what they termed “international jewery” on several occasions, perpetuating offensive stereotypes about Jews as well as Italians, Asians, and others, along with eyebrow-raising comments about the Holocaust and immigrants from developing countries.

The 34-year-old actress, who also appeared in A24’s Materialists and had roles in Mr. Robot, Dickinson, and The Serpent, has not yet issued a public statement regarding her dismissal. Deadline reported reaching out to Nekrasova and her attorney, Mark A. Gochman, for comment.

The interview video has garnered approximately 220,000 views on YouTube, with a repost accumulating an additional 69,000 views. The episode’s rapid spread across social media platforms appears to have been the catalyst for the swift professional repercussions Nekrasova now faces.

Gersh’s decision to sever ties with the actress represents a significant blow to her career trajectory. Nekrasova had recently been building momentum in Hollywood, transitioning from her breakout role in Succession to more prominent film opportunities. The loss of representation and her removal from Iconoclast effectively halts that progress.

This incident has sparked broader discussions within the entertainment industry about platforming controversial figures and the professional consequences of such choices. While Nekrasova has cultivated an audience through Red Scare since launching the podcast in 2018, this particular interview appears to have crossed a threshold that Hollywood institutions were unwilling to overlook.
