Did Taylor Swift back Donald Trump for president in 2024? Not a chance. The Republican hopeful wants you to think she has, though. He posted on Truth Social Sunday, sharing AI-made images and false hopes about the “very pretty” singer's support.
“I accept!” wrote Trump, who's been impeached twice and found guilty of a felony. He shared an AI image of Swift as Uncle Sam saying, “I want YOU to vote for Donald Trump,” and pictures of young women in “Swifties for Trump” shirts. None of these women are actually Taylor Swift. One of the four headlines in Trump's post is clearly marked as satire in big, red letters.
The X account @amuse, which supports Trump/Vance and right-wing news, first shared the post. They said, “SHOCK: After ISIS targeted a Taylor Swift concert, Swifties want a strong leader in the White House. The Swifties For Trump movement is real!” This refers to Swift's canceled Vienna shows, where police found a plan to attack the sold-out concert. The suspects had reportedly pledged loyalty to the Islamic State online.
While Swift hasn't endorsed anyone for president yet, she's made her feelings about Trump clear before. Spoiler: She's not a fan.
