TV host Dr. Phil shared footage of himself embedded with immigration enforcement officers as they conducted an operation in Chicago on Sunday (Jan. 26, 2025).

Mr. McGraw accompanied border authority Tom Homan as they confronted Sam Seda, who confirmed on video that he wasn’t a United States citizen and originated from Thailand.

“This is an example of sanctuary cities, right,” Homan told McGraw while they addressed Seda, one of the 270 “high-value” targets ICE was seeking in Chicago under President Donald Trump‘s new policy. “We’ve got an illegal alien convicted of sex crimes involving children and he’s walking the streets of Chicago.”

When confronted, Seda acknowledged recognizing McGraw from television but deflected questions about his background, stating he had never been deported before and claiming his mother held U.S. citizenship. When McGraw questioned Seda about being “charged with sex crime involving children,” Seda responded, “Not really.”

“Not really?” McGraw echoed.

“Again, the downfall, the problem with a sanctuary city is that people like this [are] walking the street rather than having law enforcement working with federal agents. This is what we’re dealing with,” Homan declared before instructing the ICE agent handling Seda to “take him in, process him, and lock him up” as the recording ended.

McGraw posted another segment revealing that ICE agents were pursuing 27 “high-value targets” throughout Chicago.

“It’s a pretty high-risk mission we’re going on. This truly is a targeted ICE mission, because they’re not sweeping neighborhoods like people are trying to imply,” he said. “These are known criminals and terrorists. We’re talking about murderers, child traffickers, child rapists. We’re talking about bad actors, both in the countries they’ve come from, and since they’ve been here in the United States.”

ICE apprehended 538 undocumented immigrants during President Donald Trump’s initial four days in office, according to an insider who spoke with the New York Post last week.

Chicago is the city that made Dr. Phil a star, and I do not understand why he made himsellf part of this, other than the fact that he’s a fame whore. Stay in your lane.
