Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Fleabag, Billy Porter, Chernobyl Win Big at the 2019 Emmy Awards

It was a big night for Amazon Prime winning the first four awards of the evening at the 2019 Emmy Awards — two apiece for Fleabag and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.
HBO won nine trophies tonight, Amazon claimed seven, and Netflix took home four.
Phoebe Waller-Bridge triumphed over Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Veep as the show took home the gold statuette for outstanding comedy series.
Pose’s Billy Porter got one step closer to winning an EGOT on Sunday as he took home his first Emmy, for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series. And in doing so, he made Emmy history.
Porter is the first openly gay black man to win in this category for his work on Pose.
Thank god for the speeches, as the scripted jokes (95% of them) and the announcer commentary were AWFUL.
