Emmy nominations 2024 — Shōgun leads the pack with 25 nods and The Bear with 23, and more news

The nominees for the 76th Primetime Emmy Awards were announced July 17, and by the looks of it, the drama and comedy categories are FX's to lose.

Both FX's Shōgun and The Bear dominated in their respective categories, with Shōgun picking up 25 nominations and The Bear picking up 23. The Emmy eligibility period runs from June 1, 2023, to May 31, 2024, so these nominations are for The Bear‘s second season.

Other big contenders include Fallout, Only Murders in the Building, Baby Reindeer, True Detective: Night Country, Hacks, Ripley, and The Crown. To see who else got nominated for Emmy Awards, read on.
