The wait is officially over. Harry Styles has emerged from his post-Love On Tour hibernation with a bang, releasing his pulsing new single “Aperture” and announcing an ambitious global tour that’s already sending fans into a frenzy.
Released globally at midnight GMT on January 23, “Aperture” marks a bold sonic departure for the Grammy-winning artist. Gone are the retro pop-rock vibes of Harry’s House. Instead, Styles has traded his guitar for house piano stabs and electronic beats that feel tailor-made for the dancefloor.
NME’s Rhian Daly praised the track as “Styles as we’ve not heard him before.” The single showcases the singer exploring unfamiliar territory with its thumping rhythms and euphoric build-ups. Meanwhile, fans who’ve already heard the track describe it as having house music vibes that are completely different from anything in his previous catalog.
The song itself centers on new love and accepting its uncertainty. Styles sings about connection being worth pursuing despite the unknown, with the chorus declaring “we belong together” over layers of electronic production that ebb and flow across its five-minute runtime.
Of course, new music means only one thing: Harry Styles is hitting the road again. The Together, Together tour launches May 16 in Amsterdam and spans 50 shows across seven cities worldwide. That’s right—just seven cities, but what cities they are.
The centerpiece? A staggering 30-night residency at Madison Square Garden running from late August through Halloween. The NYC run includes two special “Harry-ween” shows on October 30 and 31. Fans across the country will need to make the pilgrimage to Manhattan, as New York represents the tour’s only U.S. stop.
Beyond the Big Apple, tour dates include six nights at London’s Wembley Stadium, plus stops in São Paulo, Mexico City, Melbourne, and Sydney. The tour concludes December 13 at Sydney’s Accor Stadium.
Special guests will join various legs of the residency, including Robyn, Shania Twain, Jorja Smith, and Jamie xx. American Express cardholders can access presale tickets, with general sales kicking off between January 28 and 30, depending on the city.
The tour supports Styles’ fourth studio album, Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally, dropping March 6. Executive produced by frequent collaborator Kid Harpoon, the 12-track album promises to deliver the disco-infused sound that “Aperture” has already teased.
After breaking records with his Love On Tour—including the highest-grossing single engagement in Madison Square Garden’s history with his 15-night residency—Styles is clearly ready to do it all over again, but bigger.
