is officially putting the rabid romantic rumors about his relationship with co-star to rest. During a wonderfully candid appearance on CBC’s , the 25-year-old actor definitively shot down the internet’s favorite fantasy that they are secretly dating.

When an interviewer named Nate flat-out asked if he ever felt something for Storrie that was more than friendship, Williams was brilliantly blunt. He answered with a simple, “No.”

But he certainly didn’t downplay the sheer intensity of their undeniable off-screen bond. “Quickly, me and Connor realized we were, like, platonic soulmates, just completely in love with each other,” he confessed.

Williams credits this radical, boundary-free intimacy for keeping them grounded amid massive television fame. “I think that’s what made our friendship so stable and beautiful, is that we realized we could be completely ourselves, be completely guard down,” he explained.

Naturally, he then offered the most deranged, highly quotable metaphor of the year to describe their specific brand of physical affection. “So, I think the thing that made our relationship as rich as it was is, like, me and that man could cuddle for ten hours, and it just mean cuddling, just mean we just love each other dearly, but don’t wanna beep each other’s bop,” he declared.

Recognizing the absolute absurdity of his own unhinged vocabulary, the actor quickly caught himself mid-thought. “That’s not a saying,” he laughed, sending the room of interviewers into absolute hysterics.

Despite explicitly drawing the line at romance, Williams made it clear he still wants his co-star around for the most vulnerable, mundane daily tasks. “Someone needs to get my back,” he joked, before adding, “I wish Connor was just with me every day.”

His reasoning for needing Storrie as a constant shadow is purely logistical rather than lustful. “Because I have a loofah, but I can’t reach,” he deadpanned, before offering a hilarious solution: “If I had Connor with me every day, he could just come in there.”

The internet has long obsessed over their matching “sex sells” tattoos and touchy-feely press tours, but Williams refuses to tone it down for the public. “I never wanna stop expressing the love I have for Connor physically, and I’m never really going to,” he previously told Deadline.

He also has absolutely zero patience for anybody attempting to project toxic masculinity or weirdness onto their physical bromance. “I feel like if you’re still biased or jaded or uncomfortable with expressing physical love for people in 2025, you got to f**king, just, you know, get over yourself,” he previously noted.

Even with the rabid fan obsession surrounding their every move, the duo is actively trying to establish strict boundaries. “As much as we love each other, our friendship doesn’t need to be public,” Williams previously told Wonderland Magazine.

They are desperately determined to forge individual, respected careers rather than being eternally packaged as a Hollywood two-for-one deal. “We want to be different artists,” he insisted.

The strategy for navigating their future in the entertainment industry is crystal clear. “We don’t want to be the Olsen twins,” Williams stated.

They refuse to let pop culture’s obsession with their chemistry dictate their professional choices. “We want to be Connor and Hudson, with different filmographies and different deals,” he demanded.

Hearing a male celebrity fiercely defend non-sexual physical affection is incredibly refreshing. It proves you can be entirely obsessed with your best friend without actually wanting to beep their bop.
