Grab your popcorn, TV fans! Ted Lasso might be making a comeback to our screens sooner than we thought.

Just when everyone thought AFC Richmond's story was over, whispers of a fourth season are spreading like wildfire. Multiple outlets are reporting Warner Bros. Television is gearing up for another round of the beloved soccer comedy. They've already locked in three key British actors under UK rules: Hannah Waddingham (Rebecca Walton), Brett Goldstein (Roy Kent), and Jeremy Swift (Leslie Higgins). Juno Temple (Keeley Jones) has yet to commit.

But that's not all. The studio is now trying to get the American cast back on board. This includes the show's heart and soul, Jason Sudeikis (Ted Lasso) and Brendan Hunt (Coach Beard).

Bill Lawrence, who helped create the show, told Collider in August that the sitcom's future really depends on the 48-year-old Saturday Night Live alum. Whatever Jason feels like doing and whatever his decision is, we're all down with it,” he said.

Even though what looked like a final third season wrapped up in May 2023, the network hasn't completely closed the door on more Richmond stories. “I mean, you watched the finale, there's a little bit of a door that could be kicked back open if need be,” Warner Bros. TV CEO Channing Dungey told Variety in January. “I wouldn't put the period on the end of that sentence just yet. There is still a lot of love for Ted Lasso. And I think that there still is a lot of enthusiasm on the part of Apple for Ted Lasso. Should the opportunity arise, we'd be excited to jump back into making more…. There are always conversations that are ongoing, just nothing that's official.”

As the studio and cast work out contracts and schedules, the chance of revisiting Ted Lasso‘s charming world is more than just wishful thinking. It's a real possibility that could bring more of its feel-good vibes and laughs to viewers worldwide.

Keep your eyes peeled for more official updates coming soon.
