Jessie J is making headlines again, and this time it’s not just for her music comeback. The 37-year-old singer appears to be calling out her ex-boyfriend Channing Tatum in a bold new song that’s got fans buzzing across social media.

During a recent listening party in London for her upcoming album Don’t Tease Me With A Good Time, Jessie J unveiled a track called “Threw It Away” that seems to throw some serious shade at the Magic Mike star. The song, co-written with OneRepublic frontman Ryan Tedder back in 2020, features some pretty pointed lyrics that fans are connecting to her past relationship with the 45-year-old actor.

So what exactly did she say? Well, Jessie J didn’t hold back. She labels an unnamed ex as a “beast” in the track and warns that “karma is gonna come one day.” The British singer also makes it clear who’s telling the real story, singing about how she put her heart on the table only to have someone throw her love away.

The Sun reports that at the listening event, Jessie J gave a pretty big hint about who inspired the emotional track. “This next song I wrote in 2020 with Ryan Tedder, and you can figure out who I was dating,” she told the crowd, essentially leaving breadcrumbs for fans to follow.

The timing checks out, too. Jessie J and Channing Tatum had an on-again, off-again romance that lasted from 2018 until their final split in April 2020. While reports at the time suggested their breakup was amicable, mainly due to busy schedules and long-distance challenges, this new song paints a different picture of what really went down.

What makes this story even more compelling is that Jessie J is returning to music after battling breast cancer earlier this year. The new album drops Friday, November 28, marking both her musical comeback and apparently her chance to set the record straight about past relationships.

Neither Jessie J nor Channing Tatum’s representatives have officially confirmed the song is about him, but fans aren’t buying the mystery. With those lyrics and that timeline, it seems pretty clear who she’s singing about. The real question now is whether Channing Tatum will respond to the claims or stay silent while karma supposedly does its thing.
