Waxing soulful with the crowd at the Hotel Cafe in Hollywood, John Mayer serenaded the audience with various tunes dedicated to love lost.

One of the selections was “Heartbreak Warfare,” which Mayer first debuted aboard a cruise for the Mayercraft Carrier 2 following his split from ex-girlfriend Jennifer Aniston.

Mayer, who has been the subject of much discussion by his talkative hookup, Scheana Marie Jancan, revealed on stage that he can understand why it is the rest of the world finds him so damn interesting.

“It’s intriguing writing about my life. These songs are about me, my life and everyone in my life,” John said on stage in between songs.

And you see what he’s doing there? He’s pretending to be sarcastic about it, but you know he really does intrigue the hell out of himself.

He’ll never admit that “Your Body Is A Wonderland” is really about his love affair with his full-length mirror.
