Hailey Bieber has officially become a mother! The Rhode skincare founder and her husband, Justin Bieber, have welcomed their first child together.
Justin Bieber shared the exciting news on August 23, 2024, through an Instagram post. The image showed the baby’s tiny feet nestled in a cozy blanket, with Hailey’s French-manicured finger gently touching the fabric. Hailey also shared the same photo on her Instagram stories. The post revealed the baby’s name as Jack Blues Bieber. Reports suggest the couple had chosen this name as early as May.
The Biebers first announced their pregnancy in May 2024 with a heartwarming video. The footage showed the couple renewing their vows in a picturesque countryside setting. Hailey proudly displayed her baby bump for the first time.
In a July 2024 W Magazine interview, Hailey opened up about her decision to keep her pregnancy under wraps for six months. She explained, “I probably could have [hidden] it until the end,” adding, “but I didn’t enjoy the stress of not being able to enjoy my pregnancy outwardly. I felt like I was hiding this big secret, and it didn’t feel good. I wanted the freedom to go out and live my life.”
Hailey had expressed concerns about motherhood a year before her pregnancy announcement, mainly due to privacy issues. “I want kids so bad, but I get scared,” she admitted in a May 2023 interview with The Sunday Times. “It’s enough that people say things about my husband or my friends. I can’t imagine having to confront people saying things about a child.”
She revisited these feelings in the July 2024 interview, acknowledging that her relationship with Justin has faced criticism from the start, which has deeply affected her. “People have made me feel so bad about my relationship since day one,” Hailey said.
“It’s like people don’t want to believe that we’re happy,” she continued. “I used to try to act like it hurts less and less. I’ve tried to think that you get used to it at a certain point, that this is what will be said, and this is how people will be. But I realize that it doesn’t actually ever hurt any less.” (Hailey had previously shut down divorce rumors in March 2024, which we now know was during her pregnancy.)
