Kathy Griffin is not here for your judgment, internet.
The 65-year-old comedian dropped a bombshell Instagram post on Thursday, July 9, 2026, showing off a hunky new man young enough to be her grandson, and she addressed the age gap head-on.
The carousel showed Griffin beaming as a mystery man helped her into a car, holding her hand the whole way. She didn’t bury the lede in her caption either.
“He’s 22. Have at it, internet,” she wrote, punctuating the caption with a fire emoji for good measure.
The internet, predictably, did have at it. Commenters were split between clutching their pearls and applauding the young suitor’s manners, with several fans zeroing in on the fact that he opened the car door for her like a total gentleman.
This isn’t exactly new territory for the My Life on the D-List star. Griffin has been candid about her post-divorce dating life since splitting from marketing executive Randy Bick, whom she married on New Year’s Day 2020 and with whom she announced she was leaving in December 2023.
In a 2025 essay for The Cut, Griffin revealed she’d previously fallen hard for a different mystery man in his early 20s.
“I accidentally fell in love with a 23-year-old,” she wrote at the time, explaining that his youth meant he didn’t carry the same baggage as men her own age.
That romance fizzled, but it clearly didn’t scare her off younger guys. Griffin has said before that she’s constantly labeled a “cougar” and genuinely doesn’t mind the title one bit.
Before Bick, Griffin was married to software entrepreneur Matt Moline from 2001, a union that ended after she discovered financial betrayal in the marriage.
Whether this 22-year-old sticks around longer than her previous flings remains to be seen. For now, Griffin seems perfectly happy to let the internet have its say while she enjoys the ride, literally and figuratively.
