A frightening incident occurred during Katy Perry‘s Lifetimes tour stop on Sunday (June 29). The 40-year-old singer was performing at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre in Australia when her prop metal ball suddenly malfunctioned.

This large metal device, which flies above the audience with Katy inside, tilted forward unexpectedly.

Katy was hanging on in an effort not to fall out. Following the incident, the music stopped, and the lights went out to ensure her safety.

Fans posted videos of the event, which you can watch below.

The dangerous incident came just a day after Beyoncé faced a similar prop malfunction issue during her Cowboy Carter Tour. The 43-year-old was performing “16 Carriages” at Houston’s NRG Stadium on Saturday when she sat on a red convertible prop. However, the car unexpectedly slanted mid-air.
