Yes, please! There is a remake of the 1992 hit film The Bodyguard starring Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner is officially in the works.
While cast rumors have run the gamut from Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson as well as Channing Tatum and Cardi B, there is one singer who thinks she knows who her perfect co-star should be.
Lizzo has made her opinion known, posting a TikTok implying that she should star in the movie opposite her crush Chris Evans.
In her TikTok, Lizzo did the “What are we talking about??” meme while pointing to a headline announcing The Bodyguard reimagining. Then, she pointed to a tweet in support of her starring opposite Evans and mouthed slyly, “What are we talkin’ about?”
This is not the first time that Lizzo has shown her thirst for Chris Evans. Just last month (August 2021), the Grammy winner made a TikTok clip joking that she and Captain America star Chris were expecting a baby together.
She told her fans, “This is something that I’ve been really trying to keep personal and private just between me and the father of my child. But since we’re airing out all the rumors today, I’ve been sucking in. We’re going to have a little America.”
The Knives Out star responded with a direct message that read, “Hi! Just heard about our little bundle of joy. My mother will be so happy lol. (Just promise me no gender reveal parties lol) [sic].”
“OMG YALL— HE SAW THE BABY BUMP! WE DID IT!” Lizzo wrote in the caption of the video. “NOW YALL GOTTA NAME LIL MERICA!!!!! WHAT YALL BOUTA NAME MY BABY ?! 🤰🏾🇺🇸.”
Back in April, the singer revealed she had sent Evans a drunk message after knocking back several drinks and the actor laughed that off as well, saying, “No shame in a drunk DM god knows I’ve done worse on this app lol [sic].”
