On Thursday (Mar. 07, 2024), Kylie Minogue and Madonna were seen performing together in Los Angeles at the X/The Kia Forum event. The two iconic singers shared the stage in a memorable performance.

A performance of Gloria Gaynor's empowering song “I Will Survive,” timed to coincide with International Women's Day.

On Thursday evening, the Kia Forum in Inglewood, near Los Angeles, California, was graced by two popular singers who performed together on stage. They also sang Minogue's famous track, “Can't Get You Out Of My Head,” as part of Madonna's Celebration tour.

Madonna, the Queen of Pop, donned a leather jacket and cowboy boots as she danced alongside the Australian Princess of Pop. The latter sported a black T-shirt and leather-patterned trousers.

Madonna introduced Minogue to the stage as a “very special guest” before hugging the Australian pop star.

“Now, this is what we call survival,” she said. “It’s a privilege for me to be up here singing with you… God bless you, never give up.”

Minogue told the audience she felt “amazing” and said the duet had not happened before as they both like to “take our time.”

In a post on X (formerly known as Twitter), Minogue expressed her excitement about finally getting the chance to perform with Madonna on her Celebration Tour. She also noted that it was especially meaningful since it coincided with International Women's Day. Minogue ended her post by thanking Madonna and sending her love.

In addition, she posted a video of herself moving through the audience while sporting a T-shirt with “Madonna” inscribed on the front.

As a female solo artist, the 55-year-old singer-songwriter holds the record for the third most number-one albums in the UK, after American singers Madonna and Taylor Swift, with a total of nine chart-topping albums.

The Brits Global Icon Award was recently bestowed upon her.

Despite being perceived as rivals, Minogue and Madonna have previously expressed admiration for each other.

At the moment, Madonna, who is 65 years old, is in the midst of her Celebration tour in North America, showcasing her top hits.

Last year, the event was rescheduled because the American musician was in intensive care for a “severe bacterial infection”. The tour began in October at The O2 in London.

Madonna will perform at the Kia Forum on Saturday and Monday, followed by a show at the Acrisure Arena in Palm Springs on Wednesday.
