After months of hinting that new music was on the way, Madonna has finally revealed at least the name of an upcoming project.
The singer uploaded a video to both Instagram and Twitter on Sunday (April 14, 2019), in which she shares that she’s decided to name her new album Madame X, though she doesn’t state when it may arrive.
Apparently she is all of these things: a cha cha instructor, a professor, a head of state, a housekeeper, an equestrian, a prisoner, a student, a teacher, a nun, a cabaret singer, a saint and, of course, a prostitute.
In this stunning video teaser, Madge wears an eyepatch, gets a whip out, and wears a variety of classy outfits, while a new song with the lyrics “The thing that hurts the most/is that I wasn't lost” plays in the background.
Madonna has been in the studio with Mirwais, who produced that album. It is also said to have influences of Portugese music, seeing as she has been living in Lisbon.
The Queen of Pop is due to perform a new song and a classic at the Eurovision Song Contest final on May 18.
