I really wanted the headline for this to read “Cho and a GoGo”, but I am exercising restraint because you really need to hear this banger. The eternally funny comedy icon Margaret Cho has teamed with Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Jane Wiedlin of The Go-Go’s for an early contender for song of the summer with “Yer Dihh.”
Margaret and Jane fully collaborated on the track, which they co-wrote and also share vocals on, with help from Travis Kasperbauer at Lucky Recording Company. The accompanying video features cameos from drag icons Alaska Thunderfuck, Sherry Vine, Dina Martina, and Roy Hernandez, as well as comedians Guy Branum, Dylan Adler, Sam Oh, Rachel Scanlon, Scott Silverman, Kenny Hash, Solomon Giorgio, Daniel Webb, Zach Noe Towers, Dana Goldberg, and Matteo Lane.
Of the new tune, Margaret says, “The Go-Go’s was my very first concert and I lived my childhood dream of getting to collaborate with Jane Wiedlin on this amazing song. We started the year feeling hawt and recorded the song on New Year’s 2026 in San Francisco. It’s a banger and I’m so excited for everyone to bang to it!”
Jane adds, “In all my years of being a songwriter, I did NOT see this coming! It was 100% fun from start to finish to help create. In these repressed and bigoted times, I’m so glad to support Margaret with a silly, hot, and sex-positive song that’s a real banger. I can’t wait to hear it in clubs!”
If song of the summer contenders are supposed to make you laugh, dance, text your friends immediately, and question whether you can responsibly play it around straight people, then “Yer Dihh” is already miles ahead of the competition. Margaret and Jane have delivered a deliriously funny club track that refuses to take itself seriously, which might be exactly why it works so well.
