The stars of Netflix’s hit series Stranger Things appeared together in high spirits at Thursday’s (November 6, 2025) event, effectively dismissing recent speculation about on-set tensions.
Millie Bobby Brown and David Harbour reunited on the red carpet at the Stranger Things Season 5 world premiere, sharing warm embraces and laughter that quickly dispelled rumors of discord between the co-stars. The premiere, held at Hollywood’s iconic TCL Chinese Theatre on November 6, brought together the cast and crew for one final celebration of the beloved series.
Netflix captured the moment in footage posted to social media, showing the duo joking and embracing before crowds and media. Their public display of camaraderie comes after recent unconfirmed tabloid reports suggested Brown had filed harassment and bullying claims against Harbour before filming the final season.

The 21-year-old actress, who has portrayed the superpowered Eleven since the show’s debut in 2016, spoke warmly about her relationship with her on-screen father figure. When asked about working with Harbour at the premiere, Brown told Extra, “It’s been amazing, we’re so lucky to have each other, the show means so much to both of us, to everyone here.”
Harbour, 50, reciprocated the sentiment in his own interview with Entertainment Tonight, stating, “I adore her, I’ve been proud to watch all of them grow up to become such great artists.” The Thunderbolts star has previously described his relationship with Brown as “special,” noting that he knew her before fame transformed her life.

Executive producer Shawn Levy addressed the recent speculation directly at the premiere, calling some of the circulating stories “wildly inaccurate.” The show’s creators, Ross and Matt Duffer, also weighed in on maintaining a positive work environment. Ross Duffer told The Hollywood Reporter, “Obviously, you understand I can’t get into personal onset matters, but I will say we’ve been doing this for 10 years with this cast, and at this point they’re family, and we deeply care about them.”
The premiere marked a bittersweet milestone for the Stranger Things family, as the fifth season will serve as the series finale. The entire cast attended the event, including Winona Ryder, Finn Wolfhard, Sadie Sink, Caleb McLaughlin, Gaten Matarazzo, Noah Schnapp, Maya Hawke, Natalia Dyer, and Charlie Heaton.

Brown and Harbour’s chemistry has been central to the show’s success, with their characters’ father-daughter dynamic providing emotional depth across five seasons. Their reunion on Thursday evening reassured fans that the relationship between the actors remains strong as they prepare to bid farewell to Hawkins, Indiana.
The highly anticipated final season will roll out in three parts. Volume 1, consisting of four episodes, will debut on November 26. Volume 2, featuring three episodes, arrives on Christmas Day. The feature-length series finale will stream on New Year’s Eve, with select theatrical screenings also planned.

Neither Netflix nor representatives for Brown and Harbour have issued official statements regarding the earlier reports. However, the visible warmth between the co-stars at the premiere spoke volumes, giving fans relief that all appears well as Stranger Things prepares for its final chapter.
The premiere event underscored what has made Stranger Things a cultural phenomenon since its 2016 debut: the genuine bonds formed among its cast members. After nearly a decade together, the family atmosphere on set has translated into one of Netflix’s most successful series of all time.
