Natasha Lyonne was reportedly escorted off a Delta red-eye flight from Los Angeles to New York just hours after attending the Euphoria Season 3 premiere on April 8.
According to a Page Six eyewitness, Lyonne appeared disoriented in first class and didn’t respond when asked to fasten her seatbelt, prompting the pilot to turn the plane back to the gate.
Lyonne responded to the reports on X with a typically cryptic, characteristically unbothered post, questioning who currently owns Page Six and the New York Post.
Leave it to Natasha Lyonne to make getting kicked off a plane feel like performance art.
Just hours after walking the red carpet at the Euphoria Season 3 premiere at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood on April 8 — in a look that reportedly included a see-through top, oversized sunglasses, and the kind of energy only she could pull off — Lyonne was removed from a Delta red-eye flight bound for New York after an onboard disturbance delayed takeoff for more than an hour.
Per a Page Six eyewitness, Lyonne appeared disoriented while seated in first class and did not respond when flight attendants instructed her to close her laptop and fasten her seatbelt ahead of takeoff. She was apparently still in premiere mode — spotted on the red-eye still wearing some of the same outfit from the event, including black stockings and oversized sunglasses, though she had changed into sneakers and a long black coat.

Things escalated from there. Lyonne was overheard asking, “Where are we?” According to the eyewitness, she was told, “We’re still in L.A. The plane hasn’t gone anywhere,” and, “The plane is not going anywhere until you come off it.” She reportedly shushed a gate agent. Classic.
The actress ultimately stood up without incident, walked to the bathroom, and later exited the aircraft while eating a bag of pretzels. By that point, her luggage had already been removed from the plane. Pretzels in hand, luggage already gone — there’s a novel in there somewhere.
The pilot then addressed the remaining passengers over the intercom with a statement that felt written specifically for a Lyonne-adjacent story. “We have a passenger who, for whatever reason… wouldn’t follow some basic commands… We had a passenger who didn’t seem up to the task tonight, so that’s why they were asked to be booked on another flight — I do apologize for the inconvenience, but we will get you to New York as quickly and as safely as possible.”

The flight later departed for New York without further issues, leaving Lyonne’s first-class seat empty.
Now, about that response. Lyonne took to X in the way only she can — oblique, arch, and just pointed enough to make you wonder exactly what happened. “My heart is with all the unpaid TSA agents at our airports,” she wrote. “Sure was looking forward to speaking honestly with Drew Barrymore yesterday but guess wasn’t in the cards. Who owns page six/New York Post now again?”

She neither confirmed nor denied a thing, which is honestly the correct move.
The comments, predictably, were a mess of conflicting loyalties. One person penned: “Girl you are taking the crown from Courtney Love on most messy girl in Hollywood.” Another was considerably less sympathetic: “Maybe you should apologise to the people on the flight who were trying to make connections in NY since you made them an hour late.” But plenty of fans rallied. “Fuck most of the replies under this tweet. Mama you are so fucking loved and treasured,” said a fourth commenter.
The incident arrives within a larger context that Lyonne herself has been transparent about. In January, she revealed she had relapsed after years of sobriety, writing that “recovery is a lifelong process.” She later updated fans with better news: “Proud to report this kid is doing a whole lot better & back on her feet,” she wrote on X. “Want to thank our recovery communities & the fans who stood by & were so supportive. Aiming to keep the journey somehow private, but look forward to sharing my experience, strength & hope as makes sense.”

Meanwhile, Lyonne shared photos from the Season 3 red carpet to Instagram, captioning the post: “So grateful to be a part of this legendary show.” Her character in the new season remains under wraps — which, given everything, is kind of the least surprising part of this whole story.
Euphoria Season 3 premieres on HBO on April 12.
